Photo Session Tips
Arrive Early- you may have less time in front of the camera if you're late!
Clothing-avoid stripes and plaids, solid colors photograph better. Bring more than one outfit and make them all different colors! Various styles are a good idea also-casual and dressy. Bring at least 2 outfits. Your favorite sports attire are also good ideas to create a collage or montage item. Make sure your clothes are neat. I f you can change fast then bring extra outfits! Come dressed in your first outfit-but remember that with indoor/outdoor sessions we start outdoors to take advantage of the lighting.
Props- We allow you to bring your favorite props example: favorite hobby item, cars, pets, friends, hat, etc.
Jewelry- keep it simple. The subject of the photograph is always YOU, avoid too much or too large jewelry this will cause distraction. Unless you're an entertainer and this is part of your image or part of your props.
Glasses- if you normally wear glasses this is fine. Please note certain styles of photography may cause glare.
Blemishes and Acne- don't let a minor breakout postpone your photo session. Retouching is done at no charge. Savoy Images will give you that "Savvy Image".
Pets-preferable housebroken pets welcome. Good idea to bring someone to hold your pet when he's not in the photo session. Pack his favorite treats as well.
Weather and Outdoors- We can't predict the weather so let's not try! If it's a rainy day we'll reschedule at a later date. Cloudy days are better days to shoot than bright sunny days but in the event a photo is scheduled on a sunny day we can still accommodate you.
Families and Small groups- all family members should dress alike or in similar soft colors.
Models- we will discuss what type of portfolio you're trying to achieve prior to the photo session.
