Locations

What kind of look do you have in mind for your session? Desert, urban, water or foliage? The greater Phoenix area has a variety of shooting options. Here are samples from my most popular locations. I am always up for new adventures and locations, so feel free to suggest a spot that isn’t shown here.

Papago Park: Centrally located in Tempe and looks beautiful year-round! This is a great desert spot with the unique red rocks in the background. Does require an easy, 10 minute walk on a paved path to the shooting spot. The wide open space makes it an excellent option for an extended family session.
Tumbleweed Ranch: Located in Chandler. Greenest in the autumn months. Looks more “fall” in December and January with the leaves changing colors. The white picket fence, red barn and antique truck give it a subtle western look. Another great space for extended family sessions.
Ocotillo: Located in Chandler. The vibrant pink bougainvillea against the white remind me of Greece. This location also has beautiful arched walkways and unique tiled steps. The blooms vary depending on the season and can be extra crowded during prom & homecoming. Ideal spot for smaller families, couples and seniors.
Warpaint Trailhead: Stunning desert location conveniently located in Ahwatukee. Beautiful year-round and tends to be greener in the spring. Easy to access from the road with a short walk to the shooting area. Several spots in one small area to give variety. Gorgeous light!
Veterans Oasis Park: Located in Chandler. This is a beautiful spot that offers a little bit of everything! Water, trees, grass, paths, reeds and a touch of desert. The grass is greener in the late fall, early winter months, but still gorgeous location year-round. Excellent for families of all sizes. Be sure to pack the bug spray for this location.
The Grove: This beautiful grove is located behind a church in the Chandler area. Rows of trees make this spot unique to Arizona. The trees tend to be greenest August through October and start changing in November for a more “fall” look. By mid-December, the majority of the leaves have fallen to the ground, which is extra fun for kiddos to play in. This spot also offers a barn wood wall and rust looking metal wall. A great location for families of all sizes. Not recommended January through June.
Heritage Square Park: Located near Downtown Phoenix. This spot offers great variety with gorgeous concrete architecture, brick, historic houses, flowers and a stunning rooftop view atop the parking garage. This location is great for seniors and smaller families, all year long.
Downtown Phoenix: This eclectic location has so much to offer. Brick, concrete, buildings, alleyways, painted mural walls and so much more! This is a unique and fun spot to explore for families of all sizes.
Desert Botanical Garden: Located in Tempe and has so much beautiful desert to discover. If you love cacti, this is a great spot. It can get crowded, but a beautiful option any time of the year. **Entrance fee required for this location, to be paid by the client in addition to session fee.
Mesa Arts Center: Located in downtown Mesa. This is another eclectic location with so many colors and textures. There are lots of steps, concrete, bright colors, some nature and more.
ASU Campus: Located in Tempe, the ASU Main campus has so much variety to offer. Beautiful palm lined sidewalks, steps, fountains, concrete, brick and many plants. Easy to access with a short walk from a nearby parking garage. A great choice for seniors and families of all sizes.
Scottsdale Civic Center: This beautiful location offers green grass, water, trees and plants. Easily accessed from the parking lot. Color and foliage vary depending on time of year, but a beautiful location year-round. A great option for families of all sizes. Occasionally unavailable due to events.
